Marathon's FTvirtual Server software provides Automated Application Availability that protects critical business process applications running in a Windows environment. The company's software is based on patented virtualization technology that unites two unmodified industry-standard servers into a virtual configuration that appears to applications, OS, storage, networks, and system administrators as a single platform. Application software and the Windows OS do not require awareness modifications. The software uses Intelligent Fault Management embedded policy, enabling applications to Compute-Through most faults and failures alleviating the complexity associated with failover alternatives. The end result is simpler, less expensive, more reliable application availability.
"HP is pleased to have Marathon Technologies join the growing HP BladeSystem Solution Builder program that advances blade infrastructure innovation and enhanced business and IT solutions for customers," said Rick Becker, vice president and general manager of the BladeSystem Division at HP. "Pairing Marathon's distinctive approach to providing high-availability solutions through virtualization technology with the efficient HP BladeSystem offers customers a compelling infrastructure solution for reliable service delivery to the business."
