3Tera Adds Solaris Support in AppLogic 2.3
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., June 17 -- 3Tera Inc., the leading innovator of cloud computing technology and utility computing services, announced today support for Sun’s Solaris 10 Operating System (OS) and the OpenSolaris operating system in the 2.3 Beta release of its award winning AppLogic grid operating system. Inclusion of the Solaris 10 OS and OpenSolaris is the first step of delivering a complete Web services solution stack based on Sun products to be incorporated into the Cloudware architecture, announced earlier this year.

AppLogic 2.3 Beta is available for Virtual Private Data Center users and for download by licensed users today. The release includes new OpenSolaris based appliances as part of the virtual appliance catalog. Solaris 10 OS appliances are not distributed with AppLogic due to licensing requirements and users can find information on running the Solaris 10 OS in the 3Tera forums http://forum.3tera.com/.
