InforSense Delivers Analytical Workflow Platform as VM
LONDON and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 25 -- InforSense Ltd., the leading provider of embedded enterprise intelligence, today announced InforSense Virtual Machine (IVM), a standalone, lightweight workflow execution engine that can be easily embedded into third party applications that run on a wide variety of platforms including workstations, servers, scientific instrumentation, embedded devices or mobile devices. Because of its small footprint, the IVM is effortlessly installed and simple to maintain eliminating the complexity typically found with traditional software installations.

IVM enables several new applications including:
- Embedded data analysis -- Workflows that retrieve and analyze data can now be easily integrated into third-party applications and analysis tools such as laboratory information systems (LIMS), medical devices and CRM applications using JAVA, COM/.NET, Command Line or Web service API.
- Real-time scoring -- Predictive analytical workflows can now be created to apply a data mining model to data to predict a "score" in real time. Scores can be used to drive operational business decisions and can be as simple as a value that describes the risk class associated with a customer, such as credit risk or as complex as predicting the lifetime value of a customer.
- Clustered workflow execution -- InforSense Virtual Machine can form a grid engine to execute CPU-intensive analytical workflows over large scale data sets.
IVM is available immediately. InforSense has developed an OEM program for third party vendors to embed IVM in their systems. Leading global organizations have already joined the program to adopt IVM for embedded analytics, and InforSense expects the first two products under development by third party companies using IVM to be released later in 2008.
