Objectivity/DB Achieves IBM Grid Computing Compliance
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 31 -- Addressing market demand for its real-time, distributed object database management platform, Objectivity Inc., today announced that the Objectivity/DB platform complies with the highest-level IBM grid computing enablement.
The
grid-enabled Objectivity/DB platform helps government, science and
engineering organizations that use technology to gain a competitive
advantage. Objectivity's grid compliance environment was validated by
IBM at the IBM Innovation Center for Business Partners located in
Waltham, Mass. Objectivity first ran its product on an IBM grid in
March 2006 at the Hursley Research Center, validating the ability to
run batch programs in a grid architecture variant that IBM defines as
Level 3. The validation at Level 6 ensures that Objectivity/DB can run
in a grid-enabled service-oriented architecture environment.
