M-Tech Joins Liberty Alliance Project
M-Tech Information Technology Inc, a provider of identity management
solutions, announced that it has joined the Liberty Alliance Project as an
associate member. Through the membership, M-Tech will offer its extensive
industry expertise in identity management solutions to aid in the consortium's
effort to develop an open and interoperable standard for federated network
identity and identity-based web services.
As a member of the Alliance, M-Tech will work with other industry leaders in
developing standards promoting effective identity management for organizations
worldwide. Ensuring that its products and solutions are standardized
demonstrates M-Tech's leadership role within the industry. M-Tech also plans
to incorporate Liberty specifications in their identity management suite to
further enhance product interoperability.
M-Tech chose to join the Liberty Alliance to support uniform standards for
identity authentication that ensures protection of data and users, while
providing a high level of usability. Customers of M-Tech will benefit from the
enhanced interoperability of all their identity management projects. As well,
M-Tech will play an active role in communicating educational and industry news
from the Liberty Alliance to its 450-plus customers.

technology firms and wireless providers. Federated identity will help drive
the next generation of the Internet, offering businesses and consumers
convenience and choice. Membership is open to all commercial and
non-commercial organizations.
