GridApp Systems Partners With Red Hat

GridApp Systems and Red Hat Inc announced GridApp Systems' entrance into the Red Hat Ready Runtime Program. GridApp will integrate Red Hat's Enterprise Linux and Global File System into its powerful database virtualization software to simplify manageability and facilitate database consolidation.

"We're extremely excited to partner with Red Hat," stated Robert Gardos, CEO of GridApp Systems. "Red Hat Enterprise Linux and GFS will enable GridApp to deliver even more savings and standardization to our customers."

GridApp's database virtualization software and its D2500 database appliance enable organizations to consolidate disparate databases onto a single unified platform where system capacity can be shared across several databases. Through consolidation, companies can realize a 75 percent reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO) while improving database reliability, security and manageability.

"Solutions from GridApp Systems now offer customers another choice for building database infrastructures based on open source," said Mike Evans, vice president of Partner Development at Red Hat. "Red Hat's Enterprise Linux and GFS will serve as a solid foundation for GridApp to offer a powerful solution to customers looking to bring some sanity into their database infrastructure."
