CORIO ANNOUNCES APPLICATIONS ON DEMAND 2005

Corio Inc announced Applications on Demand 2005, a new release of Corio's operational platform. Applications on Demand 2005 includes new enhancements and improved capabilities for delivering enterprise applications from leading independent software vendors.

Companies today are challenged by the cost, complexity and compliance imperatives of enterprise applications. Costs continue to increase as IT services industry spending reached an all time high at $368 billion in 2003. New technology integration increases the complexity of application management, and compliance burdens, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, increase operational risk.

In 1999 Corio introduced Applications on Demand as a better way to deploy and manage enterprise applications. Today Applications on Demand supports over one quarter million subscribers. Applications on Demand 2005 is a new and improved release of Corio's operational platform designed to reduce the cost and complexity of enterprise systems and comply with new control objectives dictated by Sarbanes-Oxley. Backed by industry leading service level guarantees, Applications on Demand 2005 simplifies enterprise application management through automation. The key features of Corio's of Applications on Demand platform are:

  • Productized Offerings: Configure-to-order product models featuring pre-integrated architectures and proven service scope definitions to simplify enterprise systems management.
  • Processes: Six sigma defined application management processes to provide consistent delivery quality.
  • Automations: Automated workflows and scripts to speed service delivery, lower cost and improve quality.
  • Technologies: Security, backup, disaster recovery and high availability solutions to improve reliability.
  • Corio iSRVCE: Corio iSRVCE is a Technology Resource Management (TRM) system that provides customers with improved visibility and control over their enterprise systems.

Corio Applications on Demand 2005 is available now and features the following important enhancements:

  • Corio iSRVCE 4.0: Version 4.0 introduces common request automation enabling subscribers to execute 20 common service requests through self-service and speed service delivery. Additional features include improvements to usability, reporting and service request management.
  • SLA Upgrades: New service level agreements (SLAs) including security, Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) and development scope coverage.
  • New Automations: Sixty new task automations to reduce labor, improve reliability and shrink costs.
  • Corio Testing: On demand functional and performance testing suite to make quality assurance affordable.
  • Corio SOX Accelerator: Process and control documentation including Corio's SAS 70 Type II audit to speed compliance initiatives and reduce the cost of Sarbanes-Oxley audit.
  • CorDBA: Infrastructure and managed services package including hardware, monitoring, system and database administration to reduce the cost and complexity of enterprise applications running on Solaris, HP- UX, LINUX and NT.

"We have reduced our costs and improved the reliability of our enterprise applications with Corio," said Barry Libenson, CIO at Ingersoll Rand, Inc. "With Applications On Demand 2005 we expect to further strengthen our capabilities to support enterprise applications."

"Corio was the first to market with on demand systems in 1999," said George Kadifa, chairman and CEO at Corio Inc. "Applications on Demand 2005 extends that leadership with significant new capabilities and enables our customers to reduce cost and complexity with improved regulatory compliance."
