RightNow Joins Web Services Interoperability Organization
RightNow Technologies, a provider of on demand CRM software solutions,
announced its membership in the Web Services Interoperability Organization
(WS-I), an open industry effort chartered to promote Web services
interoperability across platforms, applications and programming languages.
WS-I brings together a diverse community of Web services leaders to respond to
customer needs by providing guidance, recommended practices and supporting
resources for developing interoperable Web services. Since the organization's
inception in February 2002, more than 170 companies have joined WS-I. WS-I has
delivered the Basic Profile 1.0 and a host of other tools and resources,
providing developers and the Web services industry with the necessary guidance
and best practices to successfully deploy interoperable Web services.
"As a leading on demand software company focused on customer service, we are
leveraging Web services to make business data integration easy, flexible and
cost effective for our customers," Sean Forbes, vice president of marketing
and business development at RightNow, said. "RightNow's participation in WS-I
allows us to be on the cutting edge of integration technology, ensuring our
developers continue to adopt new standards and technologies to promote
interoperability across application platforms, operating systems and
