Systems/Enterprise:
SYSTINET'S LEADERSHIP GROWS IN WEB SERVICES, SOA MARKET
Systinet, a provider of software for service-oriented architecture (SOA)
enablement, announced it has amassed over 50,000 registered users of its SOA
and Web services enablement products, with demand continuing to accelerate at
over 400 registrations a week. The growing demand for Systinet's products,
including Systinet Server for Java and C++, MOM Services and the Systinet UDDI
Registry, supports the industry trend toward broad adoption of Web services
and UDDI registry as the SOA foundation for dynamic interoperability.
"For many enterprises, Web services have moved beyond the hype stage and are
now a reality, as companies take the next step and build Service-Oriented
Architectures," said Jason Bloomberg, senior analyst at ZapThink. "Systinet
was early to the Web services scene and has set the pace for the SOA
enablement technology market ever since. 50,000 users is a significant
milestone for an independent vendor, making Systinet a clear thought leader
for Web services enablement."
In Q2, Systinet unveiled version 5.0 of its flagship Systinet Server for Java,
Systinet Server for C++ and Systinet UDDI Registry products, as well as
debuting MOM services for Web service enablement of Middleware, supporting
TIBCO RV, WebSphereMQ (formerly MQSeries), Sonic MQ, and any other JMS-based
messaging product. In the three months since the launch of its new products,
Systinet's registered user base has jumped from 43,000 to 50,000, a more than
16 percent increase. Systinet has also celebrated the third anniversary of the
company's first large-scale, enterprise deployments, including T-Mobile and
Entergy.
"The increase in our registered user base is evidence of the accelerated
market demand for SOA products as enterprises evolve from building simple Web
services to enabling SOA-based applications," said Thomas Erickson, president
and CEO of Systinet. "We expect to see a continued trend of enterprises
looking to Web services to provide flexible, simple and cost-effective
interoperability between systems, so that organizations can focus on
innovation rather than on maintaining infrastructure. Systinet is already an
established leader in the Web services enablement space, and our products are
installed and in production at hundreds of global 2000 organizations."
