UTT DEPLOYS CONTIVO TO SPEED PETROCHEMICAL PROCUREMENT

Contivo, a provider of automated data integration solutions, and UTT logistics Contracts BV, a procurement services provider in the Netherlands, announced the production deployment of its Contivo-based integration that will speed procurement within the Netherlands petrochemical industry. The integration will drive operational excellence and lower costs via Internet supply chain management among UTT's community members and global trading partners in the chemical, refining and marketing, and upstream energy industries.

UTT used Contivo as the key data integration and mapping tool for accelerating their end-to-end integration of procurement processes with a Netherlands-based petrochemical giant. The UTT integration will leverage the Trade-Ranger petrochemical marketplace, which also uses Contivo internally. UTT used Contivo in conjunction with BEA Weblogic Integration Server for automating procurement data exchange to eliminate error-prone manual data entry, accelerate processing, and reduce overall procurement costs. UTT expects to leverage this integrated business process to connect with its other customers in the European market in the near future.
