Summer 2004 show that Grid computing has risen by more than 75 percent in
the past six months. Thirty-seven percent of database developers are

Deutsche Telekom (DTAG), and that it will provide key optical and IP
technologies for project VIOLA (Vertically Integrated Optical test bed for
Large Applications).

- The connection to StarLight will enhance Fermilab's ability to conduct
research in computer science as well as particle physics. The laboratory
plays a leading role in developing data Grid software that will enable

HEALTH CARE COMPANY ADOPTS 3G STANDARDS FOR MAMMOGRAPHY ARCHIVE
- i3ARCHIVE Inc will become the first company to adopt the new
third-generation (3G) standards for Grid Computing in a medical offering.
i3ARCHIVE will integrate the standards into its National Digital Mammography
Archive (NDMA), the largest archive of digital mammography images and
patient data.
