Oracle 10g Enhances Certified With Leading B2B Standards
Oracle Application Server 10g is certified to support all leading
business-to-business (B2B) standards, enabling organizations to easily comply
with industry mandates required by companies such as Cisco, Intel, Wal-Mart,
Home Depot and Lowe's.
By enhancing support for standards such as EDI over the Internet-AS2 (EDIINT
AS2) and RosettaNet, Oracle Application Server 10g enables companies in the
high technology, manufacturing, retail and consumer packaged goods industries
to instantly connect to business partners' supply chains using leading B2B
standards. As a result, organizations can instantaneously meet integration
mandates set forth by Cisco, Intel and Wal-Mart by using Oracle Application
Server 10g's pre-tested connectivity tools and integration features. These
components provide trading partner management capabilities that enable users
with a single interface, to define individual trading partner's profiles,
service level agreements, security requirements and preferred protocol for
interaction. With comprehensive support for B2B standards, Oracle Application
Server 10g can lower costs for supporting existing business partners while
rapidly building online collaboration with customers and partners.
By using B2B standards for supply chain and business partner integration,
companies can move from expensive, proprietary programming skills to open,
interoperable standards that can scale to meet changing business needs.
Previously, business partners deployed non-scalable methods of interaction
including EDI Virtual Private Networks, faxes and e-mails.
With this announcement, Oracle continues to spearhead the definition and
adoption of e-business standards. The company has active board members in key
B2B standards bodies including RosettaNet, Web Services Choreograph Interface
(WSCI) and Business Process Management Initiative Organization (BPMI).
Additionally, Oracle Application Server 10g is certified to support key B2B
protocols including EDIINT AS2, RosettaNet and HIPAA.
