Arjuna Releases Arjuna+JBoss 1.1 For Business-Critical Apps
Arjuna Technologies announced general availability of Arjuna+JBoss 1.1, which
offers a seamless integration of Arjuna's distributed transaction service
(JTS) and messaging service (JMS) with the popular JBoss application server.
This new 1.1 release incorporates the newly announced ArjunaMS 4.0 and
ArjunaTS 3.2 releases. These new releases include improvements across the
board including fault-tolerance, management, performance and usability
upgrades.
The embedded ArjunaTS 3.2 offers extended tooling support for transaction
monitoring, management and resolution as well as general usability
enhancements. Performance too has been further improved. The new ArjunaMS 4.0
includes integrated high-availability (HA) support which ensures that the
messaging infrastructure never loses a message and stays up and running
despite software, hardware or network problems. Also included is the unique
transactional Message-Driven Services (MDS) container which offers a
lightweight, event-driven, service-oriented architecture (SOA) framework.
Arjuna's extensions ensure data integrity for business-critical applications
even in the presence of concurrent access and occasional component failures.
With Arjuna+JBoss customers can implement complex distributed
transaction-based applications that are totally protected by Arjuna's
automated recovery processes. Should a failure occur, system data integrity
will be preserved without the need for costly manual intervention.
Bob Bickel, vice president of corporate strategy and development at JBoss Inc,
said "The JBoss Professional Open Source strategy is meant to make open source
a safe choice for commercial customers. Through this partnership, JBoss users
benefit from the expertise of the industry's pre-eminent force in the field of
distributed transactional software. The Arjuna+JBoss product offers customers
the reliability and data integrity guarantees that are essential for
distributed business-critical production systems."
