Webify Director To Keynote 2004 IEEE Int'l Conference On WS
Webify Solutions announced that Jay Tenenbaum, its chief scientist and
director, will be delivering a keynote at the 2004 IEEE International
Conference on Web Services (ICWS 2004). The event is being held July 6 through
July 9 at the Westin Horton Plaza Hotel in San Diego.
The ICWS 2004 is the third international conference focusing on Web Services.
Web services are network-based application components with services-oriented
architecture using standard interface description languages and uniform
communication protocols. Typical industry solution areas of Web services are
business-to-business integration, business process integration and management,
content management, e-sourcing, composite Web services creation, design
collaboration for computer engineering, multimedia communication, digital TV
and interactive Web solutions. Currently, Grid computing has also started to
leverage Web services to define standard interfaces for business services and
generic reusable Grid resources. Web service application is built upon the
well known XML document exchange and open standards.
"I am honored to speak at the ICWS 2004. The fundamental challenge of
e-business is enabling companies to do business with one another across a
network, despite different business processes and computer systems," said
Tenenbaum. "Web services and grid computing technologies are finally
addressing this market need and fulfilling the promise of the Internet as an
open e-business platform where companies can conduct business spontaneously
with anyone, anywhere, anytime. I envision millions of interoperable Business
Services that evolve into large open networks."
