ObjectFX Completes Oracle 10g Integration Requirements
ObjectFX announced it has completed all integration requirements in utilizing
Oracle Database10g and Oracle Application Server 10g within its SpatialFX
software platform allowing for great benefits and better productivity for the
companies' joint customers. ObjectFX, which enables the integration of dynamic
location-based assets and services within a complete Java framework, has found
the results of combining the Oracle 10g platform with its own SpatialFX
Platform to benefit customers in terms of improved ability to view and
interact with real-time data and faster decision-making.
Businesses that utilize the new combination of complimentary technologies gain
all of the benefits of the SpatialFX platform (easy enterprise application
integration, flexibility, multiple deployment options and high performance)
combined with the stability, scalability, and reliability of Oracle 10g
products. Specific benefits include:
- ObjectFX customers can run all SpatialFX server based components as
Enterprise Java Beans directly within Oracle Application Server 10g.
- SpatialFX is tightly integrated with the Oracle Spatial option within
Oracle Database10g Enterprise Edition thus allowing SpatialFX applications to
easily read and display location-based data directly.
- ObjectFX customers can also choose to store GIS data created natively by
ObjectFX directly within an Oracle Database using JDBC.
"The Java application program interface (API) for Oracle 10g Spatial is easy
to use and performant. With Oracle Database10g, we saw significant performance
improvements over previous releases," said George Flannery, vice president of
technology at ObjectFX. "With ObjectFX integrated on multiple levels related
to the Oracle 10g product line, our customers can easily leverage existing
Oracle-based data and deploy our SpatialFX based applications with Oracle
Application Server 10g."
"ObjectFX helps Oracle provide our joint customers with location-based
services that extend the benefits of the Oracle 10g platform," said Bronwyn
Hastings, vice president of Worldwide Alliances and Channels for Oracle Corp.
"As a member of Oracle's 10g beta test program, ObjectFX is one of the many
important application providers helping to drive industry adoption for
Oracle's Grid computing platform."
ObjectFX and Oracle have been partners since 1997 when Oracle highlighted
SpatialX (an early rendition of SpatialFX) in a Location Based Solution
demonstration at OracleWorld in New York City. The company was chosen to
participate in the beta test of Oracle Database 10g last Fall. ObjectFX is a
partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
