Fitech Announces Availability Of xTier 2.1 For Java
Fitech Laboratories Inc announced the availability of xTier 2.1 for Java, the
latest release of Fitech Laboratories' innovative Java and .NET middleware
components. Building upon the 22 services designed to augment and extend the
J2EE specification to speed the development of enterprise applications
contained in xTier 2.0 for Java, the version 2.1 release adds support for all
of the leading application servers and Integrated Development Environments.
xTier 2.1 provides direct support for the following Application Servers:
- BEA Weblogic 7 Application Server.
- BEA Weblogic 8 Application Server.
- IBM WebSphere 5 Application Server.
- Oracle Application Server 9i.
- Oracle Application Server 10g.
- JBoss 3 Application Server.
- JBoss 4 Application Server.
- SunOne 8 Application Server.
xTier 2.1 provides direct support for the following development tools:
- Eclipse 2.
- Eclipse 3.
- JBuilder 9.
- IntelliJ 4.
- NetBeans 3.
- Oracle JDeveloper 10g.
- Oracle JDeveloper 9i.
xTier 2.1 for Java provides 22 components for enterprise Java development
implemented using the principles of Inversion of Control (IoC) and Service
Oriented Design (SOD). The components can be purchased in a "mix-and-match"
fashion as developers can "choose-their-own" middleware consisting of a single
service, several, or all of the xTier services as the technical requirements
of the application dictate. The components include a Grid computing component,
an object caching component, an embedded workflow component, a high-speed
object marshalling (serialization) component, a hierarchical configuration
management component and a job scheduling component, along with 16 additional
