Plumtree Hires Tony Sanders As VP Of Worldwide Channels
Enterprise Web leader Plumtree Software announced the hiring of Tony Sanders
as vice president of worldwide channels responsible for all channels including
system integrators, independent software vendors and OEMs. Sanders joins
Plumtree from Oracle Corp where he most recently served as vice president of
North America application channels.
"With more than 20 years of technology experience and outstanding revenue
performance in channel roles, Tony is the perfect person to work to expand
Plumtree's channel opportunities in the US and abroad," said Paul Ciandrini,
Plumtree's COO. "Tony will help us leverage our existing channel ecosystem and
will focus on adding Plumtree-powered applications to our portfolio through
new alliances and joint application development."
During his tenure at Oracle, Sanders held several leadership positions in
alliances and channels, ultimately managing all indirect partner revenue for
Oracle's application products as vice president of North America application
channels. In this role, he was responsible for a 47 percent increase in
indirect revenue in fiscal year 2004, achieving a $60 million quota in just
nine months. Prior to this role, Sanders was responsible for technology and
application channels in the Western US where he increased channel-driven
revenue by 14 percent to $91.2 million in fiscal year 2003. Previously,
Sanders held various sales management positions with Apple Computer and Xerox
Corp.
"Plumtree stands above other vendors in the market because of its technology
leadership, its successful customers and its agility in adapting to customer
needs," said Sanders. "By extending the reach of Plumtree's sales force
through new channels and untapped distribution opportunities, we look to drive
growth on a global basis. I'm excited to be joining such an outstanding team
and look forward to accelerating Plumtree's momentum in the growing
service-oriented applications space."
