Wily Unveils New J2EE Application Performance Services
Wily Technology unveiled a new J2EE Performance Consulting Practice to help
its customers and partners establish best practices for managing and
monitoring Java environments. Wily's new J2EE Performance Practice includes a
suite of technical services, educational offerings, and business partner
programs designed to complement its industry-leading application management
software solutions.
At the cornerstone of Wily's J2EE Performance Practice offerings is Introscope
5.0, the award-winning enterprise application management solution and the de
facto industry standard solution for ensuring the performance and availability
of mission-critical applications and supporting systems. Wily's J2EE
Performance Practice will help customers and partners understand the roles and
responsibilities related to day-to-day operations of Java-based applications,
as well as define and set best practices for managing such applications. In
return, customers and partners can obtain the confidence they need to know
that their enterprise Web applications will perform well in complex,
real-world environments to better meet performance targets and deployment
schedules while significantly increasing the availability of applications in
production.

J2EE Performance Practice Offerings
The new professional services offerings are designed to transfer critical
technical and process skills to Wily customers. Wily's professional services
staff are industry experts in Java application management best practices.
Working closely with an organization's IT team, they apply their experience to
help maximize the performance and availability of applications. Wily's
Professional Services help maximize Introscope's monitoring benefits in the
areas of planning, installation, customization, monitoring and deployment. The
new offerings include:
- Web Application Management Assessment -- This is a service which evaluates
current performance management practices to identify opportunities for
improvement and deliver findings and recommendations leading to a better
control of Java web environments.
- Java Performance Management Deployment Services -- This helps customers
develop a comprehensive deployment plan, install and configure Wily products
and other relevant solutions, implement monitoring and reporting procedures,
develop and document deployment processes, integrate with existing systems
management frameworks, develop and execute a rollout plan across life-cycle
phases and develop customer reports.
- J2EE Monitoring Business Consultants (JMBC) -- Wily consultants will help
customers and partners understand Wily's best practices and benefit from
Wily's expertise.
Education Services -- Courses and Seminars
Wily's education services have been broadened to provide Wily customers with
real world experience of setting up Introscope to manage Java applications as
well as performing triage and diagnosis of problem areas. Designed to help
customers apply information technology for competitive advantage, the courses
and seminars include:
- "Managing Java Applications using Introscope" teaches customers how to
manage applications using Introscope through lecture and hands on labs.
Participants will become familiar with the process involved in managing an
application and how, when and why to use the features of Introscope to
accomplish those tasks.
- "Diagnosing J2EE Performance Problems Using Introscope" teaches customers
how to diagnose certain classes of J2EE performance problems using Introscope.
Participants will learn in the hands on labs by performing diagnoses on
realistic performance problem scenarios running in an application server.
- "Wily Administrator Seminar Series" teaches customers how to install,
manage and maintain Introscope. Through lecture and hands on labs participants
will learn to configure and manage the Introscope database and flat files.
Participants will also discuss Workstation and Enterprise Manager capacity
planning and sizing as well as how to configure security for Introscope.
