Performance Technologies Expands Adv Managed Platform Offering

Performance Technologies, a developer of platforms, components and software solutions for the communications, military and commercial markets, announced it has expanded its Advanced Managed Platform offering with the introduction of the IPnexus CPC5086 Packet-Switched Platform. The CPC5086 provides OEM equipment developers with a powerful, high density, carrier-grade computing platform for mission-critical applications.

Performance Technologies' Advanced Managed Platform products are built upon the intelligent AMP Architecture, which ensures standards-based, reliable and comprehensive management throughout all active platform components, including the power supplies. Joining the existing 12U and 4U Advanced Managed Platforms, the 12U CPC5086 provides an ideal base for OEM engineers developing various communications applications.

"The CPC5086 Platform supports over five-nines availability with built-in redundancy for active system components including Ethernet switches, intelligent shelf managers, power supplies and fan trays," said Tony Romero, product manager for Performance Technologies. "The 1300W redundant power and cooling capabilities of the CPC5086 are essential for supporting high performance, rich feature-set components."

The 21 slot CPC5086 Platform supports dual Gigabit or 10/100 Ethernet switches and two redundant PICMG 2.9 Intelligent Platform Management Interface-compliant CPC7301 Intelligent Shelf Managers. The CPC7301 serves as the central management component for all Advanced Managed Platforms.

The CPC5086 is fully configurable with Performance Technologies' embedded product line including integrated shelf management, single board computers, Ethernet switches, I/O communications, voice and media processing, SS7/IP signaling and a full suite of supporting software and middleware.
