Reactivity, CA Team To Secure, Manage Web Services
Reactivity Inc announced the integration of its XML Firewall appliance with
Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) from Computer Associates
International Inc (CA), creating a complete solution for the rapid and secure
deployment and management of Web services.
The Reactivity XML Firewal enables enterprises to quickly deploy secure Web
services connections, while WSDM provides more extensive Web services
performance data across their SOA. WSDM and the Reactivity XML Firewall
complement each other, providing security, connectivity, monitoring and
management for the full range of enterprise needs.

Additionally, planned integration between the Reactivity XML Firewall and CA's
eTrust Identity and Access Management solutions will enable organizations to
apply existing access control policies and rules to Web services deployed
throughout the enterprise. The Reactivity XML Firewall authenticates and
authorizes bulk identity, checking to make sure the request for a Web service
is coming from the correct corporate entity, while CA's eTrust Identity and
Access Management solutions confirm that the specific user or host at that
entity has privilege to access the requested service. The policy-based active
authorization and authentication of eTrust Identity and Access Management and
the sophisticated services management capabilities of WSDM will leverage the
Reactivity XML Firewall to deliver an unparalleled integrated Web services
management and security solution.
