Foundry Announces Support For
WebLogic App Load Balancing
Foundry Networks Inc, a performance and total solutions leader for
end-to-end
switching and routing, announced integrated support for BEA Systems WebLogic
Server in its market-leading ServerIron Layer 4-7 switches. Using the new
ServerIron features, BEA WebLogic customers can implement persistence and
stateful failover for client connections in advanced BEA WebLogic Server
cluster configurations, which help maximize application availability and
server farm scalability. Foundry also announced it has joined the BEA Partner
Program.
Foundry and its ServerIron Layer 4-7 load balancing switches are industry
leaders in security, performance and intelligence, with support for a rich set
of Layer 4 and Layer 7 features. The switches can deliver unprecedented
performance of up to 108,000 application transactions per second, and protect
server farms and applications against wire-speed Gigabit-rate Denial of
Service (DoS) attacks up to 1.5 million TCP requests per second. With
unsurpassed scalability and security for the mission-critical IP application
infrastructure, ServerIron switches are the choice of the most demanding
Enterprise and Service Provider customers. Newly integrated ServerIron support
for BEA WebLogic Server is designed to deliver these benefits, along with
