Appro Server Delivers High-Density, Supercomputing Power

Appro, a leading developer of high-density, high-performance servers, takes the leadership role and announces the most powerful 4-way processing available today in a 1U form factor. Appro will showcase the Appro 1142H based on Quad AMD Opteron processors at CeBIT 2004.

New Appro 1142H Server Brings Value And More Power To HPC Market

This server is designed to deliver the highest power-to-density ratio of any 1U server available. The Appro 1142H server offers scalability, reliability, and the best performance and value to support mission-critical technical applications such as video streaming, database applications, computational clustering and web and mail serving. Appro's outstanding thermal management and innovative mechanical and air duct design allows efficient cooling for four processors in a high-density platform. Appro combines innovative engineering design and the latest in AMD Opteron processor technology to deliver supercomputing performance at an excellent price-performance ratio.

Web services, utility computing, .NET, CPU harvesting and distributed computing are just a few of the technologies that fall under the Grid computing umbrella. Gt04 -- a premiere enterprise Grid computing conference targeting industrial and commercial users -- will gather experts, and outline strategies and road maps for Grid deployment.
