LexisNexis USES CALLIDUS SOFTWARE FOR SALES INCENTIVE MGMT

Callidus Software Inc, an industry leader in enterprise incentive management (EIM), announced that LexisNexis U.S., a leader in comprehensive and authoritative legal, news and business information, has completed its integration of Callidus' TrueComp software to address the needs of its growing sales organization. TrueComp replaces LexisNexis' existing compensation systems with a single solution that streamlines operations, brings flexibility and predictability within the payment cycle and aligns employee activities to corporate objectives.

A unit of publishing giant Reed Elsevier Group plc, LexisNexis offers an extensive range of products and services that guide professionals and businesses in making decisions confidently. This includes online and print legal and regulatory research products, customized Web applications and critical e-filing services for legal professionals.

Web services, utility computing, .NET, CPU harvesting and distributed computing are just a few of the technologies that fall under the Grid computing umbrella. Gt04 -- a premiere enterprise Grid computing conference targeting industrial and commercial users -- will gather experts, and outline strategies and road maps for Grid deployment. "With Callidus, we are now able to turn our compensation process from an administrative burden into a competitive differentiator," stated Michael Weber, director of finance and working capital management for LexisNexis. "Instead of spending time and resources on manual efforts to reconcile and verify compensation statements, we can now design, administer and analyze the most sophisticated variable compensation programs regardless of complexity and size."

LexisNexis has long realized the need to replace its existing compensation management systems with one that is scalable enough to address the needs of a growing organization, flexible enough to implement changes quickly, and powerful enough to eliminate most manual efforts, while providing the LexisNexis sales force with a comprehensive compensation and reporting solution. The company performed an extensive selection of many leading EIM solutions and selected Callidus' TrueComp for its combination of scalability, sophistication and flexible architecture. LexisNexis also chose Callidus because it could provide the combination of system integration, training and technical support needed for a smooth product implementation.

"We chose TrueComp because of its unbeatable combination of product features, scalable architecture, professional services and support," added Weber. "During the implementation phase, Callidus demonstrated its commitment to a total customer satisfaction, ensuring that we're up and running on time and without issues."

"Industry giants such as LexisNexis need reliable compensation processes and solutions that scale to huge transaction volumes," said Bert Rankin, senior vice president of marketing at Callidus Software. "TrueComp is the only industry solution that delivers such reliability and scalability. Additionally, at Callidus we also understand the value of a successful implementation. Our commitment to the customer extends to providing quality integration services and support throughout the completion of the integration."
