HP FURTHERS ADAPTIVE ENTERPRISE
WITH TruLogica ACQUISITION
HP has purchased TruLogica in a move to further extend its Adaptive
Enterprise
program. The plan is for HP to use TruLogica's identity management technology
to improve user management in a wide variety of business-related applications.
The terms of the deal, which is not technically closed, have not been
disclosed.
The acquisition is not uncommon for HP, who has acquired several smaller
companies within the last few months. HP's major competitors, Sun Microsystems
and EMC, also have purchased their fair shares of companies recently.
The purchase of TruLogica adds further proof that HP is not the fully
evolved
being it appeared to be a couple of years ago. The company has acquired a
plethora of technologies since then.
The TruLogica purchase should help customers with a number of tasks. HP
highlighted TruLogica's ability to automate password resets and
synchronization, its Java support and strong registration, approval and
security tools.
