Stemming 'Brain Drain' In
Southeastern Europe
Stemming southeastern Europe's "brain-drain" is the aim of a joint
UNESCO-Hewlett-Packard project. The latest Grid computing equipment currently
is being delivered to universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina; Croatia and
Serbia; and Montenegro.
This state-of-the-art equipment, donated by Hewlett-Packard, will allow
these
universities to introduce distance learning courses at their respective
faculties, working in close cooperation with their fellow nationals living
abroad and thereby tapping into the expertise and knowledge of the scientific
diaspora from the three countries.
