Curl Corp Experiences Significant Growth In Asia

Curl Corp, developers of the industry's first rich client software suite to deliver Web-distributed enterprise applications, announced that the company's rapidly growing, exclusive distributor in Japan and Korea, Curl Asia Pacific Corp (CAPC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumisho Computer Systems, has won several major accounts for the award-winning Curl Client/Web Platform including, Nexus, Hitachi Displays and Daewoong Pharmaceutical. The tremendous growth in this region for Curl demonstrates the exploding demand for its application development software.

The Curl Client/Web Platform provides customers and partners throughout the world with a flexible and open way to quickly and easily deliver multi-platform applications that interact with numerous information sources and present it within a Web browser. Through the use of Curl's technology, enterprise customers and partners reduce costs; improve business application development and delivery on the Web; and simplify the creation of content while supporting the occasionally connected computing environment.

Web services, utility computing, .NET, CPU harvesting and distributed computing are just a few of the technologies that fall under the Grid computing umbrella. Gt04 -- a premiere enterprise Grid computing conference targeting industrial and commercial users -- will gather experts, and outline strategies and road maps for Grid deployment. "The high demand for the Curl Client/Web Platform in Asia is indicative of the immediate business benefits it provides to organizations that are looking to develop flexible, rich-client applications," said Kohji Shionoya, president and CEO of CAPC. "For companies such as Hitachi Displays and Nexus to have deployed the Curl platform demonstrates the scale of the product to meet the rigorous needs of some of the largest enterprises in Asia."

Also announced is the launch of the Curl Client/Web Platform 3.0 in Japan and Korea. Events will be held in Tokyo on March 5; Osaka, Japan, on March 9; and Seoul, Korea, on March 11.

"We are thrilled with the response in Asia for Curl solutions and we anticipate a very successful launch of the Curl Client/Web Platform 3.0," said Chris Lesar, vice president of marketing and business development for Curl Corp. "As demand for rich-client software continues to grow, we expect to continue our rapid growth in that region."
