MICROSOFT, iWay ALLIANCE PRODUCES
NATIVE .NET ADAPTER SUITE
iWay Software, an Information Builders company that accelerates business
integration and the world's leading adapter vendor, continues to expand its
support of Microsoft Corp's integration initiatives by providing a custom line
of adapters for BizTalk Server 2004. These adapters, which provide complete,
code-free access to a variety of applications and data within the enterprise,
have been developed on Microsoft .NET architecture.
Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, part of the Microsoft Windows Server System,
provides foundational technologies -- including business-process
orchestration, single sign-on capability, and human-based workflow and Web
services support -- that enable customers to build tailored e-business
solutions to connect people with information and processes. Built on the
Microsoft .NET Framework and integrated into the Microsoft Office System and
Visual Studio .NET 2003, BizTalk Server 2004 addresses the unique needs of
information technology professionals, information workers and developers to
help increase efficiency and productivity.
Web services, utility computing, .NET, CPU harvesting and distributed
computing are just a few of the technologies that fall under the Grid
computing umbrella. Gt04 -- a premiere enterprise Grid computing conference
targeting industrial and commercial users -- will gather experts, and outline
strategies and road maps for Grid deployment. For more information, visit

iWay has developed the adapters to ensure that they integrate tightly with
the
BizTalk Server 2004 administrative and process orchestration tools. The
adapters are a native .NET implementation of iWay's adapters, ensuring
reliability, scalability and high performance.
Microsoft has designated iWay application adapters for Siebel, PeopleSoft,
JD
Edwards, Oracle applications and SAP, as well as RDMS, MQ Series and CORBA
technologies, as "Premier" adapters. To earn this designation, iWay's products
completed rigorous certification testing in the Unisys' Innovation Center and
review by Microsoft engineers. iWay also entered into support agreements with
Microsoft to jointly support BizTalk Server with iWay adapters, working
together all over the world.
"We needed an efficient way to get our third party scheduling system to
talk
to Oracle," saID Joe Kennedy, IT Director of Coty Inc, one of the world's
leading manufacturers of fragrances. "A combination of iWay Software adapters
and Microsoft BizTalk Server helped us quickly accomplish our goal. 24-7-365
reliability is the hallmark of iWay adapters."
"iWay Software and Microsoft have long worked together with a shared vision
of
helping customers create connected and productive businesses, including the
use of Web services," said Ted Kummert, corporate vice president of E-Business
Servers at Microsoft. "iWay's Universal Adapter Suite for BizTalk Server
enables customers to easily expose applications as Web services and
orchestrate these services with BizTalk Server to create flexible business
processes."
"Rapid deployment is necessary in today's market to quickly prove the value
of
integration projects," said John Senor, president of iWay Software. "The enemy
of rapid deployment is custom integration code. Our adapters allow customers
to reach more systems with less custom code than any other vendor on the
market, so integration projects take less time, cost less money, and are more
flexible than they would be with hand-coded adapters."
