Quick Eagle Networks Rolls Out New 4300 Access Router Series

Quick Eagle Networks Inc, a leading provider of intelligent WAN access solutions, announced the newest addition to its product portfolio, the 4300 Access Router Series. Developed in response to specific customer needs, the 4300 line incorporates key features such as traffic prioritization and control and access redundancy features, ensuring continued work in case of unexpected service disruptions. The 4300 Series devices are multifunctional access platforms, which combine routing capabilities with a number of additional features not found in traditional router products.

"With more and more delay-sensitive business applications using IP, there is a growing need to improve WAN bandwidth management at branch and remote office locations," commented Alan Rice, senior vice president of sales and marketing with Quick Eagle. "We developed the 4300 Series to exceed traditional 'best effort' routing capabilities by managing and prioritizing critical traffic in the most effective way possible. Squeezing every drop of performance from a router and the broadband connection is vital, and our new series helps administrators to keep their network costs minimized, while providing maximum flexibility for growth."

In today's ultra-competitive marketplace, business success often depends on the ability of the corporate network to provide continuous service, whether to customers or to end users within the organization. With the "last mile" being the most vulnerable point on the network, access redundancy is increasingly important. Whether it is to duplicate T1/E1 access lines, or to take advantage of DSL and cable modem broadband services to backup Frame Relay services with IP-VPN tunnels, network access redundancy is no longer a luxury. The 4300 Access Router Series directly addresses each of these concerns with flexible redundancy capabilities.

"Our new 4300 Access Routers are multifunctional access devices designed to provide CIOs and network managers with the reassurance of a cost-effective, scalable solution for 'last mile' network access redundancy," continued Rice. "The devices feature two T1/E1 ports, two Ethernet ports, DiffServ-compliant QoS, and software-based bandwidth upgrades. Essentially, the 4300 Series routers are consolidated access devices for branch offices that combine CSU/DSU, bandwidth shaping, network monitoring and high quality routing."

The 4300 series of routers is fully compatible with all current industry standards and protocols, including PPP, PPPoE, Frame Relay, Multilink Frame Relay, Multilink PPP, and MAC Bridging. With the 4300 Series, branch offices can be connected cost-effectively over leased lines, the Internet, IP-VPN, or corporate Frame Relay networks. DiffServ QoS marks traffic for the growing number of MPLS-enabled networks, assuring that the 4300 Series adds value to the network now, and into the future.

Quick Eagle's innovative hardware and software-based 4300 router solution allows for better and more reliable throughput performance than traditional routers. The full integration of software infrastructure enables administrators to perform remote and easy network configuration and administration, eliminating costly truck rolls and saving valuable IT resources. The products can be configured and managed through Telnet, CLI, and SNMP, making the solution one of the most versatile, compatible and practical solutions for today's enterprises.
