CALLIDUS APPOINTS NEW VICE
PRESIDENT OF SERVICES, SUPPORT
Callidus Software, an industry leader in Enterprise Incentive Management
(EIM)
solutions, announced the promotion of Richard Furino to the position of vice
president of North American services and support. In this position Furino will
lead the organization in delivering implementation and integration services
for Callidus products, as well as head up the technical product support and
education services to Callidus customers.
With more than 25 years of information technology experience, Furino has a
stellar history of building and managing effective software engineering
organizations, both large and small. His extensive background in software
engineering management -- with a particular emphasis on architecture and
quality -- contributed to the successful implementation of a host of multi-
million dollar projects within the financial services industry.
"Rick's background in managing large scale engineering organizations within
the stringent service level requirements in the financial services markets
make him a unique candidate to lead our Professional Services organization,"
said Reed Taussig, president and CEO of Callidus.
"Ours is a company with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. We
know
that our success is a function of the quality of the interactions between our
customers and our customer-facing processes, of which technical services and
technical support is a major part. Rick has both the tactical experience and
strategic vision to ensure that our customers' needs will be recognized and
met."
Furino joined Callidus in November from Washington Mutual, where he was
senior
vice president of the Technology Services Group. In this role, he directed all
technology decisions for the company's mortgage division and managed an
engineering organization of 1000. Furino also oversaw the development and
maintenance of an application desk that handled more than 30,000 calls each
month and met all service levels. Prior to Washington Mutual, Furino held
various senior executive positions at some of the nation's leading financial
institutions, including Country Wide, Great Western Bank, Bearing Point
(formerly KPMG), Gibraltar Savings, American Savings and others.
"Callidus is undoubtedly the leader in the EIM space, thanks in large part
to
its high level of customer satisfaction," noted Furino. "This new role for me
is one of tremendous opportunity and I look forward to bringing my leadership
skills and experience to work with the team to meet and exceed our customers'
expectations."
