IPLocks Launches First Database Security Audit System

IPLocks, an innovative provider of database vulnerability assessment and continuous risk monitoring systems, announced IPLocks Database Security Audit System (IPLocks-DSAS) version 3.2, the first database security solution to automate the process of assessing and monitoring transaction-level data integrity to significantly reduce the window of vulnerability for database changes and suspicious access patterns often associated with information theft. IPLocks-DSAS instantaneously alerts on malicious acts, security policy violations, corrupt data, structural integrity changes, patch verification, hidden viruses and suspicious access or usage patterns.

In recent years, the incidence of security breaches, particularly those initiated by internal users, has accelerated to alarming proportions. According to a recent survey by market research firm Evans Data Corp, one in 10 U.S. companies surveyed experienced a database breach. These disturbing statistics, along with recent legislation such as the Sarbanes-Oxley and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act have prompted many organizations to find ways of safeguarding data and complying with regulations. IPLocks-DSAS exposes, analyzes and monitors database security policy violations, suspicious or malicious changes, structural integrity changes, as well as user access patterns to ensure secure, authorized business operations in addition to facilitating compliance for several new industry regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley, Basel II, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, CA 1386 and the U.S. Patriot Act.

"IPLocks has now taken database security to the next level with the delivery of this new technology," said Akio Sakamoto, CEO at IPLocks. "With damaging attacks from external hackers, viruses, internal sources and the emergence of new industry regulations for compliance, customers today are facing data security issues like never before. We are pleased to be at the forefront of the industry by providing the first real-time database security system that proactively protects against database threats in a non-intrusive, scalable and cost effective manner."

Designed specifically for high volume transactions, IPLocks-DSAS provides a non-intrusive, "agent-less," cross-platform database vulnerability assessment and monitoring system that addresses all key database security layers and can be implemented on a customer's existing infrastructure to provide unprecedented levels of database protection.
