InfoVista, a leading provider of intelligent performance management
software
solutions, announced that it has been awarded a one year Indefinite
Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract by Juniper Networks to provide the
performance management solution for edge and core IP/MPLS routers for the
Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Global Information Grid --
Bandwidth Expansion (GIG-BE) Program. On Dec. 30, Juniper Networks announced
that it was awarded a one year with multi-year potential contract by Science
Applications International Corporation (SAIC) for all edge and core IP/MPLS
routers for the DISA GIG-BE Program. SAIC is DISA's prime contractor for the
GIG-BE Program.
"InfoVista is a recognized leader in the performance management market,
with
extensive demonstrated success managing the delivery of advanced IP services
across many of the world's largest and most sophisticated networks," stated
Dubhe Beinhorn, vice president of Juniper Federal Systems. "InfoVista was
selected following a rigorous technical evaluation performed by SAIC, DISA's
prime contractor for the GIG-BE Program."
GIG-BE, a worldwide switched optical network with 10-Gbps OC-192 or faster
connections, initially will serve Defense Department users at 100 sites around
the globe. The advanced defense network is designed to supply the Warfighter
with reliable and secure transmission facilities for today and tomorrow's
voice, video, data and imagery systems.
"InfoVista is extremely proud to have been selected as the performance
management solution for DISA's visionary program," stated Joe Bergera, senior
vice president of Worldwide Marketing for InfoVista. "Our solution was
designed especially to optimize the performance of advanced global networks.
InfoVista is uniquely capable to ensure consistently high service quality for
the cutting-edge services delivered across the GIG-BE infrastructure."
