NetQoS Launches Latest Traffic
Analysis Solution
NetQoS Inc, a provider of network performance products and services,
announced
the launch of the latest version of ReporterAnalyzer. ReporterAnalyzer v5 is
the first Cisco NetFlow collection and reporting solution scalable enough to
meet the demands of the largest corporations. By providing an enterprise-wide
view of application traffic, companies can make the right choices for
universal issues such as infrastructure optimization, troubleshooting and
capacity planning.
"Having the ability to determine the true health of our global network on a
daily basis is a key component of our IT strategy and ReporterAnalyzer gives
us this enterprise-wide visibility," said Rolf Berge, manager of Engineering
and Development at SchlumbergerSema. "ReporterAnalyzer helps us diagnose
issues that degrade system performance, leading to quick resolution of issues
without adding unnecessary infrastructure or bandwidth."

"NetFlow offers detailed information on where, how and by whom specific
applications are being used and how that usage affects the network," said

ReporterAnalyzer, companies can use NetFlow data that is already present on
their Cisco routers, and make real business decisions based on this
information from a full enterprise perspective."
ReporterAnalyzer's enterprise traffic analysis capabilities allow network
managers to make decisions on capacity planning and traffic engineering that
they've historically had to make with only a small subset of the information
they needed. ReporterAnalyzer v5 can answer questions such as:
- What applications are being used across expensive wide-area network
links?
- What users are consuming the majority of the bandwidth?
- Why has performance suddenly decreased in a given location?
- When and where has a virus infiltrated the network?
"We've seen a strong resurgence in companies interested in leveraging IT
assets already in place, particularly Cisco's NetFlow technology," said Dr.
Cathy Fulton, chief technology officer for NetQoS. "We designed
ReporterAnalyzer v5 to use this available data without adding cumbersome,
additional infrastructure to deploy and manage."
Features for ReporterAnalyzer v 5 include:
