ETAGON, CINTRA TEAM TO SPUR GROWTH OF ON-DEMAND COMPUTING

Etagon, a developer of datacenter automation software, announced that Cintra, an Oracle systems integrator, will create systems for Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) using Etagon's ManageOn datacenter automation software.

This alliance provides Cintra's customers with an on-demand computing solution that cuts the sometimes prohibitive costs and complexity associated with deploying and managing the underlying IT infrastructure.

Etagon's ManageOn datacenter automation software is specifically designed for the Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters. Through virtualization and automation capabilities, ManageOn takes overall system-wide integration and configuration responsibility, which ensures that all components required for an Oracle Real Application Cluster installation are seamlessly integrated. With ManageOn, Oracle Real Application Clusters can be deployed in less than one hour and then managed with far fewer resources.

"Etagon's mission is to spur the growth of the on-demand computing while automating datacenter processes, thus cutting the complexity that discourages some enterprises from adopting it," Etagon CEO Rony Zarom said. "Enterprises that use ManageOn for Oracle Real Application Clusters have experienced tremendous cost savings and reductions in complexity, enabling them to utilize IT resources for mission-critical tasks, rather than systems administration. Combining ManageOn and Oracle Real Application Clusters in one out-of-the-box unit, as Cintra has, is a natural evolution."

Cintra CTO Abdul Sheikh said, "Cintra is always seeking ways to exploit the best proven technology available to better serve our customers. We selected Etagon's ManageOn automation software to complement our best-of-breed approach to enable businesses to allocate computing resources immediately without incurring downtime or significant manpower."
