Blade Fusion Announces IP-X 1000
Security Appliance Server
Blade Fusion Technologies Ltd announced the availability of its
multi-gigabit
IP-X 1000 Multi-Bladed Security Appliance that has been server proven on IBM's
industry leading BladeCenter. Blade Fusion's IP-X 1000 is the most powerful
Multi-bladed and Multi-Functional security appliance to run on industry
standard blade-servers. It scales up to 8 Gbps of industry leading Check Point
FW-1 running in conjunction with other best-of-breed security software. Blade
Fusion's IP-X-1000 provides central management and high-availability for all
security applications while lowering the total cost of ownership. Blade
Fusion's partnership with IBM delivers back-to-back hardware warranty, support
and superior cost-performance.
Blade Fusion IP-X software transforms IBM's BladeCenter blade-server into a
multi-gigabit, highly available and multi-functional enterprise security
gateway. The IP-X system provides transparent high-availability at all system
levels and for all elements (hardware, network, operating system and
applications). Servicing, maintenance and upgrades for mission critical
security gateway solutions is made easier and safer with true hot-swap
capabilities. Blade Fusion IP-X delivers better overall quality while reducing
the total cost of ownership of enterprise security gateway solutions. Blade
Fusion's IP-X-1000 appliance is the first in the market to offer a solution
that consolidates best-of-breed security application on best-of-breed blade
server platform -- the IBM BladeCenter.
"The driving force behind the ServerProven program is to ensure that the
technology integration process our customers go through is painless." Said
Sharon Hobbs, IBM eServer Program director of the BladeCenter Alliance
Program. "By achieving ServerProven status for the IP X-1000 solution, Blade
Fusion has shown that it brings the level of expertise and quality that we
look for in qualifying third-party products."
"Blade Fusions' IP-X 1000 running on IBM BladeCenter delivers the best
cost-performance enterprise security gateway solution on the market today. In
just a few minutes of set up time, our customers receive a highly available
and multi-functional security gateway" said Amir Barnea, CEO of Blade Fusion
Technologies Ltd. "When you compare other configurations using stand alone
load balancers, switches, appliances and servers -- Blade Fusion's IP-X 1000
is by far the most powerful and most cost-effective solution. While running on
IBM's industry leading BladeCenter, Blade Fusion's customers enjoy superior
performance, scalability, warranties and support."
IP-X-1000 system uniquely enables to control and monitor all the applications
from a single console. The system obscures the physical aspects of the
topology from the user and exposes him/her to only the logical aspects of the
topology. This is especially useful in high-availability and high-performance
modes of operation. A large portion of security application manuals discuss
issues of network configurations, interface configurations, switch
configurations, operating system configurations, high-availability and
high-performance configurations and cross application configurations. All
these are automated by Blade Fusions' IP-X-1000 system.
Blade Fusion's IP-X-1000 system monitors each and every blade via its
unique
networking technology and constructs the 'big picture' for the user in a very
convenient fashion. Thus by default, IP-X-1000 users enjoy a perfect view and
analysis of the system's performance as whole and broken into its
components.
Blade Fusion's IP-X-1000 system offers an innovative, low-cost and reliable
FailOver mechanism. Instead of dedicating a standby node for every active node
and manually replicating configurations, IP-X-1000 sets a pool of one or more
standby blades. If IP-X-1000 detects a failure in either hardware or
application, it automatically initiates a standby blade with the appropriate
O/S kernel and parameters, application and network settings. The entire
process is completed in less than 15 seconds. Policies can be set to
prioritize use of standby blades.
