BAE GRID PROJECT LOOKS TO SPEED UP PRODUCTION: In an attempt to speed up production lifecycles and increase levels of collaboration, BAE Systems is working on Grid-enabling its IT environment. The project is being supported by the e-Science program, and BAE's goal is to come up with more efficient Grid strategies.
ON-DEMAND COMPUTING A SUCCESS FOR IBM: IBM generated $7 billion in orders in the last year for its the "on demand" computing services, and saved another $7 billion by applying those services to its own operations.

ORACLE SET TO PUT INDIA ON THE GRID: Come December, Oracle India Private Limited (Oracle India) will launch the Oracle 10g infrastructure software for Indian enterprises. Oracle 10g enables organizations to implement utility computing, based on Grid computing technology.
SUN, AMD TO OFFER NEW iForce PARTNER PROGRAM FOR AMD OPTERON: The alliance intends to provide increased market opportunities for ISVs, OEMs and channel partners by offering an industrial strength, affordable platform that has been fully optimized and tuned for the 64-bit AMD Opteron processor.
