Reactivity, Mindreef Partner To
Police Rogue Web Services
Reactivity, a leader in delivering instant and sustainable XML Web services
security solutions, and Mindreef Inc, a leading provider of Web services
diagnostics technology, announced a partnership to offer a free, co-branded
version of Mindreef's new SOAPscope Lite, a focused functionality version of
the industry's first Web Services Diagnostics System. Available now from the
Reactivity Web site at www.reactivity.com, the SOAPscope
"Lite" tool
enables application architects, security analysts and IT operations staff to
easily detect rogue Web services on a network and get their Web services
applications up and running more quickly by capturing and revealing the
content of XML and SOAP messages.
Identifying and interpreting XML Web services traffic is key to policing
rogue
Web services as well as identifying issues with existing XML Web services that
may be creating security risks or slowing application performance or delivery.
XML Web services can expose an organization to potentially serious security
risks and liability because they directly expose core application logic. Even
seemingly innocuous applications with exposed Web services, such as an
inventory tracking system, can provide a gateway to confidential information
stored in backend databases and jeopardize other critical infrastructure
components.
