OpenLink Releases Fully Managed .NET Data Providers

OpenLink Software Inc, a technology leader in the development and deployment of secure, high-performance database connectivity middleware, announced the availability of its new fully managed .NET Data Providers for all major database engines.

The new, 100 percent managed providers provide a common set of classes and interfaces for all supported databases, protecting against the need to rewrite .NET Application or Service Layer code as backend databases change. Being 100 percent managed also ensures cross platform portability of data access code to other .NET CLR implementations such as the Mono Open Source variant for Linux.

"Our .NET Data Providers deliver innovation, sophisticated security and high-performance, in the manner that has become our trademark," said Kingsley Idehen, president & CEO of OpenLink Software. "As data access technology leaders, we have implemented our .NET Providers with cost-effective integration in mind, supporting both the latest and older releases of all supported databases. In addition, OpenLink provides functional bridges for ODBC and JDBC Drivers assuring their accessibility by .NET Applications and Services."

The new OpenLink .NET Data Providers are now available for download on a free 30 day evaluation basis from OpenLink's Web site.
