webMethods Completes Acquisition Of The Mind Electric

webMethods Inc, the industry's first Web services infrastructure company, announced that it has completed the acquisition of The Mind Electric Inc (TME), a leading provider of software for service-oriented architectures. This strategic acquisition provides webMethods with the industry's first non-proprietary and vendor neutral solution for deploying secure, scalable and 100 percent standards-based Service-Oriented Architectures.

"The acquisition of The Mind Electric by webMethods marks an end to traditional, proprietary integration and the beginning of 100 percent standards-based Web services infrastructure for a true Enterprise Service- Oriented Architecture," said Phillip Merrick, chairman and CEO of webMethods.
