INTELLAGUARD Provides
Cost-Effective, Flexible Switching
APCON Inc, a leading provider of network solutions and intelligent physical
layer switches for Fibre Channel, Ethernet and SONET, announced the
introduction of INTELLAGUARD, a new modular switch that will help enterprises
build fault tolerant networks.
Meeting Today's Network Protection Needs
INTELLAGUARD is specifically designed to meet the protection needs of
today's
Ethernet and SONET networks. Ensuring that network operation is optimized and
continuous, INTELLAGUARD delivers campus-based networks and leased line
networks the ability to automatically detect a faulty circuit and switch to
the failover circuit without service disruption. The switch shelters both line
(network) and port (electronic) redundancy in a 1+1 and 1:N configuration,
providing unparalleled flexibility that is often lacking in other network
protection solutions.

Fast And Flexible
With a recovery time of less than 50ms, INTELLAGUARD produces virtually
transparent disruption to real-time applications. The modular design supports
from 16 to 144 ports and comes bundled with GUI based control software, as
well as INTELLAGUARD Manager, software that provides real-time monitoring of
the network.
