Procera Networks and its planned merger with ZOWCOM announced that it has
filed 62 additional patent claims, filled key positions in its management team
and redesigned its Web site.
Two new patents related to managing and controlling Layer 7 applications
with
network switches were filed, containing 62 new claims in 22 countries. This
brings the total claims that have been filed to 101. These patent claims cover
methods and techniques of processing data packets in a multi-layer switch at
wire-speed based on user defined packet policies and are included in the
products that Procera is shipping in the fourth quarter this year.

director. Brunelle will be building sales and reseller channels in the Eastern
region. Brunelle has over 17 years experience in network systems sales,
engineering, entrepreneurship and applications development. He has designed,
installed and maintained many complex LAN and WAN networks. Prior to Procera
Networks, Brunelle was CTO and Founder of Sharedbandwidth Inc, a provider of
multi-tenant building network services. Brunelle has also worked in senior
sales and operations roles at Network Peripherals, Zion.net, New England
Network Associates and Orsini & Burns Inc.
Greg Dewing, vice president of sales at Procera Networks, states, "We are
very
fortunate to bring Greg into our team. Greg will lead our efforts to win new
customer accounts and build the reseller channel in the East Coast."
Michael Yee has joined Procera Networks as corporate controller. He has
over
14 years experience in finance at high-tech companies. Prior to Procera, Yee
was corporate controller for Syndeo, a VoIP software company. He has also
worked at Be Here Corp, Fujitsu Microelectronics and Quality Semiconductor.
Yee has a B.S. in Finance and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Procera CFO Jay Zerfoss commented, "Michael is a key hire for us in this
critical growth stage of our company. I have known and worked with Michael for
many years. He will provide us the financial support we need when we become a
public company after the Zowcom merger closes."
Procera CEO Doug Glader commented, "Greg and Michael are key hires with
considerable experience for our Sales and Finance departments. They both bring
significant industry experience and proven capabilities to their respective
teams. We continue to file patent claims to protect our leading intellectual
property in Layer 7 application networking. We redesigned our Web site to
create industry visibility and address our growing audience of customers,
resellers, OEMs and investors. We are making these strategic investments to
build our business and increase customer's awareness of Procera's breakthrough
Layer 7 wire speed product offerings."
