InsynQ ANNOUNCES UTILITY COMPUTING
FOR BROADBAND/ISP MARKET
InsynQ Inc announced that it began marketing of its Always-On Utility
Computing wholesale Web services directed to major telecommunication carriers
as well as independently-owned and operated Internet Service Providers
(ISPs).
John P. Gorst, InsynQ president, commented, "For the last two years InsynQ
has
been developing and refining the Always-On Utility Computing service with
wholesale partners including a major telecommunications company in the
mid-west. We have proven that we can bundle on-line software services with
broadband and market that product through our wholesale partners to
significant numbers of potential customers. We feel the market has finally
matured and is educated as to the value of reducing IT costs and receive added
benefits by subscribing to our 'Shared Utility Computing Services.' We expect,
in the next three to five years, to capture 2 to 3 percent of this billion-
dollar broadband market.
"In today's small business environment, it is the local ISP and broadband
providers who can be the first stop for many businesses needing technical
advice. It is that relationship that we feel can be expanded through the
introduction to our Always-On product lineup. Always-On service can include
virus protection, data storage and hosted software such as Microsoft Office,
Intuit QuickBooks, ACT! Sales Force tools, as well as many others. Overall,
these services are expected to provide significant benefits by creating a
stronger and more diversified operations both for InsynQ as well as with our
new wholesale partners enabling greater efficiencies, infrastructure cost
savings, and more diverse products for customers.
"For an ISP that provides broadband or dial-up services to compete in
today's
fast moving market, it must be willing to adapt itself to customer technology
needs that continue to evolve. New services are introduced continually as
technology advancements have allowed thus creating opportunity for customer
up-sell. The over 7,000 small to mid-size ISPs out there are looking to expand
their service offerings so to generate not only additional income, but also to
create a market niche differentiating themselves from national
competitors."
This level of service provides standard off-the-shelf Windows applications
to
small/medium enterprise and SoHo clients on a subscription basis alleviating
the need for the client to purchase licenses, servers, antivirus software or
other items needed to maintain a Windows network. The Always-On service is
provided through direct telesales for the smaller (10-50 user) clients, and
through face-to-face sales for the larger clients that have more complex
needs.
For its subscribers, Always-On offers immediate access to a variety of
software titles, with no installation required. The InsynQ ASP model
eliminates the need to install and maintain software on personal computers,
allows for storage of data and information either on the server or the local
machine, and provides value added features while using the software. This ASP
model also reduces the risk of computer viruses and allows for ongoing backups
of user data and important information.
