IBM Certifies NetDetector As
'Ready For Tivoli Software'
NIKSUN Inc announced interoperability with IBM's autonomic security event
management software, IBM Tivoli Risk Manager. IBM has awarded NIKSUN's
security product NetDetector IBM's "Ready for Tivoli Software"
certification.
"Extending our NetDetector product to work with IBM's leading security
event
management solution will help our joint customers take control of enterprise
security," said Dr. Parag Pruthi, founder and CTO of NIKSUN. "This
certification from IBM affirms the value and importance of NIKSUN's
NetDetector product as part of a total network security management
solution."
With the integration of NIKSUN's NetDetector and IBM's autonomic security
management software, customers can tap the resources of leading
self-protecting security event management software and leading, first-line
defense and analysis software.
NetDetector, a network surveillance system for IP networks, provides
non-intrusive, continuous traffic recording and real-time traffic analysis.
Through innovative tracking, collection and warehousing technology,
NetDetector provides security administrators the data, statistics and
processing necessary to investigate and perform a complete network forensics
analysis of security incidents caused by both external intrusions and internal
security breaches.
IBM Tivoli Risk Manager is the first security event management software
that
not only automatically filters and prioritizes security alerts from security
and network point products into a single console but also provides automated
incident response, incident analysis and prediction. Interoperability with
NIKSUN's NetDetector extends the network forensics analysis capabilities to
help reduce the time-to-analyze and the time-to-recover from network security
incidents.
