CITRIX GARNERS METAFRAME ACCESS
SUITE CUSTOMERS IN EUROPE
Citrix System Inc, a global leader in access infrastructure solutions, said
it
is continuing its investment in and has seen strong adoption of its MetaFrame
Access Suite in the European Union enlargement area and in Russia. The Citrix
Solutions Network channel program has grown in the EU, now with 16
Platinum-level members in Central and Eastern Europe.
Customers in this region include major governmental organizations across
the
EU, which have deployed Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server to provide
simplified access to information and resources via the Web, boost efficiency,
cut costs, improve accountability and provide a higher level of service to the
public.
Some of these organizations include the Ministry of Finances in the Slovak
Republic, Ministries of Economy and Cultural Heritage in Hungary and the State
Tax Service in Russia.
"With the political and common market EU enlargements, all the successive
governments in the candidate countries have made economic reform a very high
priority," said Karl-Heinz Warum, area vice president of Central and Eastern
Europe for Citrix. "The concept of access to applications is gaining momentum
across the region. We expect over time, many of those countries will look to
launch e-voting and an electronic electoral system.
"Citrix access infrastructure solutions are the perfect instrument to
encompass all those processes, since we enable people to easily and securely
access the applications, data, content and services they need on demand, from
anywhere, anytime, using any device, over any connection."
Citrix has also entered into a number of deals in the region including
Kredyt
Bank, Amplico Life Insurance and Peugeot in Poland, and Slovenian Railways,
and Savings Bank and State Tax Office in Russia. In the Czech Republic, new
customers in the oil and gas industry include Most Coal Company, Agip and
Transgas.
