New Product Provides End-User Access To Enterprise Content

Context Media Inc, a leading provider of Content Integration software, announced the availability of Interchange PortalPLUS, which enables organizations to make portals their primary interface for accessing and managing digital content stored anywhere in the enterprise. Interchange PortalPLUS provides out-of-the box integration between Context Media's content integration software, Interchange Suite and leading portal platforms, including Sun Microsystems' Sun ONE Portal Server, BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere. This allows organizations using portals in conjunction with Interchange Suite to access enterprise content stored in disparate content management, document management and digital asset management systems directly through their portal interface, greatly simplifying and improving content accessibility and management.

"Interchange PortalPLUS will provide Sun ONE users a cost effective way to manage complex content environments in the enterprise. By using Sun's Sun ONE portal technology to manage and access digital content stored anywhere and in any format, users can accelerate deployment of content services," said Manish Bhuptani, director of market development at Sun Microsystems. "By working closely with Context Media to seamlessly integrate Sun ONE and Interchange Suite, we have expanded the reach of Sun ONE as an open and scalable platform for content services."

"The release of Interchange PortalPLUS is another step forward in helping companies integrate systems and simplify the way they manage and access content," said Dan Harple, president and CEO of Context Media Inc. "The combination of Interchange PortalPLUS with a leading portal technology, such as Sun ONE, breaks down the traditional barriers to enterprise-wide content access, moving organizations closer to achieving the benefits of the real-time enterprise."

Interchange PortalPLUS leverages open standards-based Web services technology to provide seamless and secure access to and management of all forms of digital content and content management systems through a portal framework. Interchange PortalPLUS is available immediately for the Sun ONE Portal Server 6. Interchange Portal Plus for BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere will be available early in the fourth quarter of 2003. Pricing for Interchange PortalPLUS begins at $25,000.
