AGTP OFFERS VERSION-SPECIFIC
TUTORIALS
With the release of the Access Grid Toolkit 2.x, new and migrating users
are
increasingly in need of information about the new software, and to understand
how it differs from previous versions. To better support the AG community, the
Access Grid Training Project (AGTP) has been delineating version-specific
content throughout the tutorials, as well as updating some tutorials to
include material about AG 2.x. The graphic icons inserted at appropriate
locations allow readers to quickly identify components that are specific to AG
1.x or the latest toolkit.
The AGTP has also developed another tutorial in the troubleshooting series.
This introductory troubleshooting guide includes a number of general fixes
that may be required when operating an AG node.
"Very Timely! The audio troubleshooting tutorial has been very helpful in
guiding our partner institutions of the Lousiana Biomedical Research
Infrastructure Networks to assemble their Access Grid nodes -- when completed
we'll have 5 nodes across the state of Louisiana: 2 in Baton Rouge, 2 in New
Orleans and 1 in Monroe," said John I Quebedeaux Jr., computer manager for
Louisiana State University Biological Sciences.
