IBM Adding Eclipse, Grid, Autonomic Tools To AlphaWorks

AlphaWorks, IBM's resource for emerging technology, will launch new Grid, Eclipse and Autonomic resources to provide developers with free code and the necessary application tools to build an on-demand operating environment. IBM is putting code and tools into the hands of developers to make it easier for them to create the next generation of e-business applications.

Grid computing and Eclipse on alphaWorks builds on autonomic emerging technologies that help developers create self-managing systems. IBM is now offering developers the following new resources:

• Two new Grid technologies: Directory Replicator for Grid and Manageability Services for Linux
• New Eclipse tools including Application Tools for Extension Services and Visual Application Builder
• Autonomic Computing resources such as Generic Log Adapter for Autonomic Computing, Emerging Technologies Toolkit 1.1 and IBM Dynamic Logical Partitioning Tool Set (DPLAR) are now available
