Objectivity Extends Free Trial
Period For Objectvity/DB
Objectivity Inc., a leader in high performance database engines that manage
complex data, real-time applications and very large volumes of data, today
announced that it has extended the trial period for its most recent release of
Objectivity/DB, 7.1.5.
The free trial of Objectivity/DB, which is available from
www.objectivity.com
through October 1, 2003, provides developers with an additional 90 days to
evaluate Objectivity/DB at no charge. Objectivity/DB is the ideal database for
government, oil, gas and chemical process control, telecommunications and
scientific applications. Featuring industrial-strength Java and .Net
interfaces, plus Container Managed Persistence for BEA's Weblogic,
Objectivity/DB Release 7.1.5 is clearly the choice for distributed, scalable,
and mission-critical applications.
The free Objectivity download includes transparent interoperability for
C++,
.Net, Java, Smalltalk and SQL++/ODBC applications running on Windows with a
renewable license that doesn't expire until October 1, 2003. This BEA Ready
release adds Container Managed Persistence to its existing Weblogic ready
facilities. Additionally, Objectivity/DB offers developers superior fault
tolerance that ensures data and business-critical application availability
despite network or system failures, providing fault isolation and improved
transaction performance by replicating schema, data dictionaries and lock
services. Objectivity/DB also offers data replication for continuous
availability and improved performance by replicating databases across multiple
sites, providing a combination of data integrity and availability not offered
by other replication solutions.
Objectivity Empowers Developers with Free Trial
Developers simply need to visit www.objectivity.com and complete
the
download
request form. After submitting their requests they will receive e-mail
confirmation from Objectivity. The e-mail guides developers to the download
site where they will be stepped through the download and installation
procedure. Ease of use, productivity tools and samples are included for quick
evaluation of Objectivity/DB and to ensure that developers immediately receive
value from Objectivity's database products.
"Our initial trial period was so successful that we decided to extend it to
provide more developers with access to Objectivity's robust feature set," says
Leon Guzenda, chief technology officer at Objectivity, Inc. "We found our
downloads soared last quarter so we felt an obligation to continue our trial
program into this quarter to ensure the success of developers with complex
application challenges."
