CISE Reorganizes, Seeks Division
Director
Peter Freeman, Assistant Director for CISE, National Science Foundation has
issued the following note:
We announced a *proposed* reorganization of CISE this morning that includes
a
merging of the infrastructure portions of the current ACIR and ANIR into a new
Division of Deployed Infrastructure (DDI). In light of the fact that both ACIR
and ANIR are currently headed by Acting Division Directors, a position vacancy
description for a Division Director was posted yesterday (in 3 different
modalities) at:

The proposed mission of the new DDI is:
Division of Deployed Infrastructure (DDI)
Supports the planning, construction, operation, and upgrading of the
centers
and facilities that are part of the national cyberinfrastructure for
scientific and engineering research and education. Encourages research on
experimental infrastructure to ensure the advancement of cyberinfrastructure
to meet the demands of tomorrow's science and engineering community.
