eCube Systems Extends DCE To
.NET
eCube Systems, a leading provider of legacy transformation products and
services for enterprise systems, announced general availability of its Legacy
Transformation Engine for DCE. This product provides DCE interoperability with
contemporary architectures such as CORBA, J2EE and Web Services. When used in
conjunction with Borland Janeva, the Transformation Engine also allows
Microsoft .NET Framework clients or server-based applications to access DCE
business logic.
Leveraging eCube's experience in distributed computing and Legacy
Transformation, the Legacy Transformation Engine helps companies better
leverage their existing investments by enabling:
- New and existing CORBA, J2EE and Web Services clients/applications to
access and leverage DCE-based logic
- A reduction in the complexity, time to market and cost of developing and
maintaining DCE-based applications
- Simplifying the integration/management of DCE security with other
authentication and authorization models, when used in conjunction with
Entegrity Solutions Assure Access -- providing for single-security
administration across DCE, LDAP, Windows domains, Databases, PKI, and custom
stores
"The ability to transform legacy application communication at the transport
and protocol layers is key as companies attempt to leverage their existing
investments in Services Oriented Architecture," says Peter Marquez, vice
president of Marketing for eCube Systems. "The Legacy Transformation Engine
makes this possible. And when we implement Janeva alongside the Transformation
Engine, we seamlessly interoperate with .NET and simplify the delivery of
logic based DCE to the Web."
eCube Systems sells, supports and implements the Legacy Transformation
Engine
for DCE, and as a Borland Solutions Provider, resells and provides services
for Borland Janeva.
