"GET A GRANT" PROGRAM FOR GRID LIFE SCIENCES RESEARCHERS
- Engineered Intelligence Corporation (EI) has announced a new program, "Get
a Grant with EI" -- whereby EI works on grant proposals and projects with
researchers and scientists in Life Sciences who want to convert serial
applications in Fortran, C or C++ to parallel codes, or want to develop new
applications with parallel performance and harness the power of parallel
computers, grids and clusters.

NEW IBM SOFTWARE COMBINES WEBSPHERE + LINUX + POWER4 CHIP
- IBM announced it is bringing together three key technologies -- WebSphere
Internet infrastructure software, the Linux open source operating system,
and the advanced POWER4 microprocessor -- to help companies improve IT
performance while containing costs.

ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE SIG RECOMMENDS OMG MDA FOR FED DATA
- The Object Management Group (OMG) announces that the Industry Advisory
Council's (IAC) Enterprise Architecture SIG recommended the use of the OMG's
